Our Origin

Born from Mettricks Café & Bar, our Roastery sits within the bank walls of Mettricks Portswood, serving the finest speciality coffee. Whether it's an espresso or filter-based coffee, both can be enjoyed whilst watching over our craft beer brewery in action.

Known for its comfort and exceptional customer service, our Mettricks Café's are the best place to enjoy better coffee. However, our speciality coffee can now be enjoyed at home, with custom grinds for retail coffee bags as well as our new 'Nespresso Compatible' coffee pods!

Project Roast

In 2022, we crowdfunded our way to purchasing our first 5kg roaster, fulfilling our dream of roasting our very own speciality coffee, thanks to the support of the Mettricks community.

Ascapart speciality coffee is crafted from the highest grade of coffee beans, carefully selected from some of the best farmers over the world.

We roast on the medium side for balance of flavour and mouthfeel bringing out  beans' unique character.

Meet our Head Roaster

Wilson is a both a qualified coffee quality Q grader (one of just over 100 in the UK), as well as a qualified speciality coffee association trainer.

His expertise ensures that our coffee is only of the highest quality. Roasted with love and care, you can guarantee Wilson always has a smile on his face, bringing unique and wonderful flavours to your home.
